An Inside Look

Arthur Rusanovsky, born in Amsterdam in 1993, is a violinist who has dedicated himself to music and performing. Through his unforgettable performances he forms an unstoppable force in the music world and transport us to another time and place. He performs in the most beautiful concert halls across the world, as well in intimate concert locations. His violin sound can be described as a medicine for the soul. Next to his unique playing he also moderates his concerts in an entertaining way.

 

He was always surrounded by the music of his sister and father. At the age of five he started with violin lessons and followed his musical education in Holland and later in Germany, where he finished his Master of Music at the University of Arts in Berlin.

 

His greatest desire is to create music that speaks to as wide a selection of audience as possible, from youngsters to elderly people. Being part of the TONAListen-agency, he is involved in concerts fully organized by youngsters. Presenting classical music to the youth is something he really finds important. Outreach programs have brought him to the Trans-Siberian festival and the Molyvos International Music Festival.

 

He is proudly part and founder of music groups such as his family ensemble Trio Rusanovsky and the ArteVita Ensemble. He was successful at international music competitions. As a soloist he has played with orchestras such as the Magdeburgische Philharmonie and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. As a freelancer he enjoys being an orchestra-member in renowned orchestras.

 

His newest concertseries “Rusanovsky&Friends” and “Young Werther” are touring through the world. He corporates with musicians, actors, writers and fashion designers. Important musical impulses he has received from his violin teachers Vadim Brodski, Mark Gothoni, Ilya Grubert, Ida Haendel, Leon Rusanovsky and Anneke Schilt. 

 

He plays on a violin, made by E. Rocca in Genova. And with a bow, made by A. Lamy in Paris, kindly on loan from the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation.
